Dr. Ziya Akinci, Attorney at Law LL.M. (Exeter), Admitted to Istanbul Bar, Professor at Galatasaray University. Dr Akinci concentrates on International Business Law, International Arbitration, and Transportation Law. Dr Akinci was appointed as the sole arbitrator by ICC and in some cases he acted as the parties' nominated Arbitrator. Dr. Akinci has written a number of books on International Arbitration, Construction Disputes, Contract Law and Transportation Law. His articles are mostly related to International Business Law. Karen D. Akinci, Education: Exeter University BSc, Dokuz Eylul University PhD (Math). College of Law, UK LLB. Karen is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). Karen is in one of the arbitration teams at Akinci Law Offices and also concentrates on liaison with foreign clients. Karen is an accredited mediator with CEDR and works on mediations in different international disciplines from family matters to commercial disputes. Karen has experience in many international commercial arbitration disputes and also in international child abduction cases under the Hague Convention. Languages: Karen is fluent in both English and Turkish.

Orhan Akinci, Attorney at Law, after having served as a judge for 25 years, established the law offices in 1984. Mr. Akinci concentrates on Litigation, Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Labor Law and Banking Law.


Dr. Cemile Demir Gokyayla, Education: Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law (LL.B 1998),Dokuz Eylül University (PhD 2005), concentrates on international Arbitration, construction Arbitration, investment Arbitration and distribution agreements. Dr. Gokyayla has written books on the public policy in enforcement of the foreign judgments (2000), on the distribution agreements (2005). Dr.Gokyayla is co-author of International Family Law published in 2010. She is author of several articles published in Turkey.

Fatma Huseyin, British Lawyer (Barrister NP & Solicitor). Fatma was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales in 2005 and the Law Society of England in 2007. She achieved an LL.B Honors Degree in 2004, and a Masters LLM (Kings College University of London) in 2006. Before joining AKINCI Fatma practiced in central London, concentrating on Litigation and contractual disputes. Fatma is currently in the International Arbitration team at AKINCI. Fatma speaks native English and fluent Turkish.

Ferit Kara, Education: Eskişehir Anadolu University Public Administration 2004, concentrates on execution and bankruptcy matters.
